Other Bible translation organizations

United Bible Societies operates in over 200 countries and territories. Together, we are the biggest translator, publisher and distributor of the Bible in the world.

A non-profit organization, whose main task is to translate and publish the Bible in the languages of non-Slavic peoples living in Russia and the other countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

Pioneer Bible Translators bridges the gap between the church and the Bibleless peoples around the world. Our team is composed of Bible translators, literacy evangelists, church planters, and a variety of support personnel transforming lives through God’s Word in every language. We are serving 26 million people in 62 language projects in 14 countries. God is calling us to expand. With His help we will strive to start 37 new projects by the end of 2018.

Our vision for the next 10 years is to reach one billion more with God’s Word!

We desire to see communities and individuals transformed through God’s Word in their language and using their language for sustainable development. CABTAL’s website is currently offline.

Reference sites on languages

Ethnologue: Languages of the World is a comprehensive reference work cataloging all of the world’s known living languages. Since 1951, the Ethnologue has been an active research project involving hundreds of linguists and other researchers around the world. It is widely regarded to be the most comprehensive source of information of its kind.

Langscape is an interactive online map that allows users to discover the languages spoken at any point on the globe, and then to uncover resources for learning about them. Our goal is to increase understanding of language diversity through visualization and aggregation of knowledge, and to support the application of linguistic and geographical data in research, education, technology, government, and beyond.

Reference sites for populations and their spiritual situation

Operation World (OW) is widely regarded as the definitive volume of prayer information about the world and is the recipient of the ECPA Gold Medallion Award for Excellence in Evangelical Christian Literature.

In a world with dissolving borders, global “affinity groups” —large groupings of related peoples that share similar origins, languages, and culture— act as a lens through which we can view lostness and focus strategy to share the Gospel.

Joshua Project is a non-profit Christian ministry focused on gathering and distributing information about the world’s least-reached ethnic people groups.

Sites for finding Bibles and biblical material in minority languages

Our goal is to make the gospel of Christ accessible by the means of recorded messages in the form of cassettes, CDs, MP3… in particular to populations which are illiterate or still unreached by the gospel.
